Yoga Experience: Practicing yoga for about 25 years using a variety of approaches including Iyengar, Ashtanga, Sivananda and Biomechanical Yoga. In the last five years have concentrated on yoga as a teacher. Practice includes asana, pranayama and meditation. Yoga Training: · Completed Ashtanga yoga training for certification from Omega Institute with Beryl Bender Birch (The Hard & Soft Ashtanga Yoga Institute) · Completed 200 hour Yoga Training Course from YTTI (New York) · Completed Hatha Yoga Teacher Training Course from Ma Yoga Shakti International Mission. · Completed the following workshops: "Assisting Techniques and Meditation", "Kundalini Yoga & Bandhas", "Prenatal Yoga" and "Anatomy of Asanas". · Workshops with Dharma Mittra, Swami Bhuva, Mokshapriya Shakti, among others. Teaching Experience: · Currently teaching classes at Ma Yoga Shakti Center (New York). · Taught intermediate and advanced Yoga classes at New York Sports Clubs & East Coast Athletic Club. · Taught beginner and intermediate yoga classes at Parent Resource Center. · Taught Ashtanga Yoga (known as a Power yoga) at Ma Yoga Shakti Center. · Participated in photo-book of Yoga postures for Ma Yoga Shakti Center.
